The second stage of the Desafío Ruta 40 was not very favorable for Carlos Sainz, Dani Oliveras and their Ford. In a short but complicated day, a puncture caused them to lose time and they finished the special in nineteenth position, almost eight minutes behind the winner of the day. This result has pushed them back to sixth place in the overall standings, six minutes behind the leader.
Carlos Sainz: “A short day, but very intense. We had to open for a part of the special and then we suffered a puncture that made us lose more than two minutes, although we could not change the wheel very quickly. Otherwise, everything went well.
