Carlos Sainz and David Oliveras (Ford Raptor) finished the first stage of the Morocco Rally in seventh place. The Spanish drivers dominated much of the day, but a communication error resulted in a five-minute penalty for speeding in a restricted zone.

Carlos Sainz: “I’m really happy with the special stage and how the car feels. We had a good stage, but a communication error between Dani and me in a speed-limited zone cost us a 5-minute penalty. We’re here to keep learning, and these things are also part of the process. Tomorrow, we’ll go for more.”
